WE NOW SPECIALIZE IN HEADLIGHT RESTORATION - $50/PAIR

Your night vision can be reduced by as much as 90% by dirty headlights. Headlights that are faded and yellowed from the sun can be restored to like-new condition at a fraction of the cost of replacement. By using 600, 1000, and 1500-grit wet sandpaper, the headlight is sanded to a smooth finish. Then they are high-speed buffed to a much clearer to nearly-new finish by using a heavy compound and then a lighter compound.

I will restore both headlights for $50.

Prepping Vehicle

The vehicle is pretreated with degreaser on the grill, windshield, wheel wells, tires and rims, door and trunk jams, and rocker panels… then pressure washed clean. The vehicle is hand washed, tires are scrubbed, and then the entire vehicle is high-pressure rinsed. The vehicle is clayed and rinsed again. The vehicle, door jams and rims are towel dried. All tar is removed with lacquer thinner.

Claying

Every day, vehicle paint finishes are bombarded with a wide variety of airborne contaminants. Here are just a few of those that can cause a dull, rough surface:
  • Tree sap mist
  • Paint overspray
  • Industrial fallout
  • Hard water deposits
  • Diesel fuel exhausts
  • Rubber particles from other cars
  • Insect droppings
  • Bug splatter
  • And much more!

If you didn't clay your vehicle, the paint would feel rough, even after you waxed it. You would essentially be "sealing" the fallout in with the wax.

There are different grades of clay, depending on the color of the car and degree of fallout. After claying, the paint will be much smoother.

Interior

All vinyl, including door panels, dash, vents, cup holders and console area is sprayed with a vinyl cleaner and scrubbed with a very fine steel wool which gets the dirt out ofthe grain of the vinyl. It is blown with high air pressure and towel dried. Any stains on the headliner and visor are cleaned as well.

Leather is done in a similar way. A leather conditioner is then applied.

Cloth seats and carpets are shampooed with upholstery cleaner, extracted, and towel dried. Floor mats are taken out, shampooed and pressure washed. The trunk area is vacuumed and trunk jams cleaned. All door jams are cleaned. (There is an additional charge for dog hair removal and excessively dirty interiors.)

Exterior

The entire vehicle is high-speed buffed with the appropriate compounds and pads to remove scratches and to restore color. The vehicle is high-speed buffed again with a foam pad and swirl-removing compound. Black vehicles require additional buffing and extra steps. (There is an additional charge on all black vehicles.)

The vehicle is then hand waxed. A detail spray is applied to remove wax dust and to even out the wax.

Windows

Interior windows are cleaned. Exterior windows are cleaned, removing bugs and water spots. (There is an additional charge for excessive water spots.)

Tires

Tires are dressed with a long-lasting silicone tire dressing.
